i stumbled across your site while looking for fleetwater vital times, or yogi as i knew him when i looked after him. and was so excited to see youve got nutmeg! and that shes alive, well and producing foals dispite her accident. i used to look after her, cinamon and yogi at curland, and found her after she had sliced her heel to peices. was a sad time for me as she was one of my favs and im just chuffed to see that shes well! youve made my day! |

Hi, I have been reading your babyworld daries and they are so wonderful. as i was looking advice on how to balance babies and horses. As i would to have to give up horses if i have a family. I have a lovely mare called chloe and we tried putting into toal over the summer. The first 3 times she wasnn't in foal then the 4th we had result but there was twins. So vet squeezed on but the she lost the other one. So the plan is we will try again next spring and fingers crossed all goes well. At the moment we are getting back into our riding club for now and getting fit and healthy again. You have inspired me so much. My husband and i have decided to start a family but i was so worried about not having enough time for chloe when baby came alone. But everyone keeps telling me if she is successful in having her own foal then she will have plenty to be thinking about. And it will be great for baby and foal to grow up togegther cos i don't think i could sell my first foal.
Anyway i just wanted to say hi and i think your sites are super and an inspiration. As all the breeding side of horse is all new to me i drop you a line for advice LOL.

I have followed with interest your entries on Babyworld, as your life is very horse orientated as is mine! I ahvea son called Jack aged 2.5years and we live on a farm where approx. 40 rachorses live too! Although it is not my business, we like to get involved and enjoy nothing more than helping with the daily chores of feeding, mucking out etc. |

hi Sarah (&family!), whenever i feel down at witnessing people treating animals like machines showing no love and respect for them ( that poor little trad drowned at Appleby ????) i just look at all your wonderful pictures on your sites and it restores my faith in human nature and reminds me of whats Really important !......its not all about rosettes but enjoying an amazing bond with our horses ......you & your family are doing such a brilliant job !!.you don t deserve the luck you ve had but any horse that experiences the love you so obviously lavish on them ( for however short a time) is a truely lucky horse ! . keep your chin up ! sadly all we can do is love them while they re with us & treasure our happy memories ......i m very proud to consider you a friend . thinking of you love SARAH X |
